About

FRankenjura

Actually, he’s the climber, and I’m often the chicken  bunny. We are the classic example of what we shouldn’t be. And, I’m working on it. I’m passionate about what I would love to do most – to be surrounded by mountains! I am the soft rocker and I am (still) afraid of heights. Facing my fears directly seem to help and am happy to say, there’s improvement! We are home based in Bavaria. Not far from our doorstep lays the Bavarian Alps which we often paint red.

This Blog is all about Wanderlust. Rock Climbing gives you plenty of opportunities to travel around the world, see beautiful mountains, appreciate it’s fauna and flora. Traveling is not complete without discovering it’s cuisine, it’s culture, it’s hosts. So while the blog is very focused on inspiring climbing areas or mountains, and rest days are saved for discovering the region and food.

We’ve been climbing for more than 26 years with every free minute that we can find. We feel very home based in Europe and dare to say that we have seen most major climbing sites there while enjoying our extensive Road Trips. Globally, we’ve flown as far as Thailand to climb. We car camp as much as possible and stay flexible in this way. It is the simplest form of travelling.  Although #Vanlife would be the more appropriate name, it stays now still just as one of my dreams. Every now and then we love pampering ourselves in quaint accommodations. So check it out in our destination guides.

In colder months, I winter-hike and cross country ski skate passionately in the Bavarian Alps. I love discovering new winter landscapes, and new muscles I have never known to exist. There’s nothing nicer than to be lost in winter-wonderland.

Our motto says

Live simply,
Live your passion today with no regrets,
Survive and leave no trace

Our goal is to one day travel the world without coming back. But while we’re still working on how to get this working straight, we live the Moment with passion.

Work with us

We welcome partners with interesting cooperations and experiences that are focussed on outdoor and are mountain-based. We are also willing to travel to new regions, countries and meet new brands or create new ideas on individual adventure press trips.  Do you have a specific brand or product that you want me to promote? Or a camper, a beautiful hotel accommodation, or destination  you think we should check out and spread the word? If you are interested in a cooperation or on a long term partnership, feel free to write me at mail (at) klimbingkorns.de.
